As the Harry R. and Thora H.
Tosdal Professor of Music at St. Olaf College and conductor of the St. Olaf
Choir, Anton Armstrong is widely
recognized for his work in the area of youth and children's choral music.
He served for over twenty years on the summer faculty of the American Boychoir
School. He has frequently conducted ensembles and appeared before regional
and national gatherings of virtually every professional organization in choral
music. Dr. Armstrong is active as a guest conductor of a lecturer
throughout the world. In recent years he has guest conducted such noted
ensembles as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Westminster Choir, and the
American Boychoir. In January 2006, Baylor University selected Anton
Armstrong from a field of 118 distinguished nominees to receive the Robert
Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching.

Eric Nelson
has been Director of Choral Studies at Emory University
since 1997 and became the Director of Atlanta Sacred Choral in 1999. In
addition, he serves as Minister of Music at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church
in Buckhead. At Emory, he teaches choral literature, graduate choral
conducting, and directs both the 40-voice concert Choir and the 200 voice
University Chorus. Under his leadership, the Concert Choir has risen to
national prominence, with performances at regional and national conventions of
the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He has conducted choirs
at major venues across Europe and the United States and is very active as a
clinician and guest conductor in academic and church settings. he is a
recipient of the distinguished Arts and Humanities Crystal Apple Award for
Excellence in Teaching.
